Seven Canadian carriers win TCA Fleet Safety Awards
Several Canadian fleets are among the 18 division winners in the Truckload Carriers Association’s (TCA) 49th Annual Fleet Safety Awards.
The awards recognize truckload carriers that exhibit an ‘exceptional dedication to safety’ by achieving the lowest accident frequency ratios per million miles within six mileage-based divisions, TCA said in a news release.
Seven Canadian winners include:
- Bison Transport, Winnipeg – 1st place in Division VI (100 million miles or more)
- Challenger Motor Freight, Cambridge, Ont. – 1st place in Division V (50-99.99 million miles)
- Erb Transport, New Hamburg, Ont. – 1st place in Division IV (25-49.99 million miles)
- Trans-West Logistics, Lachine, Que. – 3rd place in Division IV (25-49.99 million miles)
- Loblaw Transport, Calgary – 2nd place in Division III (15-24.99 million miles)
- Lion Force Transport, Brampton, Ont. – 3rd place in Division III (15-24.99 million miles)
- Transpro Freight Systems, Milton, Ont. – 3rd place in Division II (5-14.99 million miles)
“I congratulate these 18 motor carriers that have led the way this year and the tireless efforts of every motor carrier in our industry that constantly strive to improve upon their operations by continuously placing safety first,” said Dave Heller, TCA’s senior vice-president of safety and government affairs, in a release.

The division winners now advance to compete for two grand prizes — one for carriers with a total annual mileage of less than 25 million miles, and the other for carriers with mileage greater than 25 million miles.
The grand prize winners will be announced at Truckload 2025, TCA’s annual convention, scheduled for March 15-18 in Phoenix, Ariz. Winners will also be celebrated at TCA’s 2025 Safety & Security Meeting in June, in Louisville, Ky.
