MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Shaw Tracking has upgraded its Shaw Mobile platform, adding new capabilities which offer improved visibility through the supply chain, the company announced.

Shaw Mobile version 1.5 features programming that recognizes customer-specific exception-based data such as schedule changes, delayed ETAs and unplanned stops, as well as other enhancements, officials say.

The system offers visibility through the completion of the delivery cycle as well as asset management and productivity metrics for private, LTL and cartage carriers. It can provide that key information to anyone along the delivery chain.

The newest enhancements allow for more detailed operations, including: multi-company/multi-fleet carriers; consolidation shipments; unplanned and unscheduled pickups; XML interface; and shipment detail for improved customer service.

“We’re committed to providing our customers leading edge technology solutions. Shaw Mobile is allowing us to continue to develop and expand the capabilities of the product to meet the changing demands of the market. So we will continue to develop the solution to provide our customers further functionality and increased visibility,” said Mike Ham, vice-president, business service, Shaw Tracking.
