Shell Canada offers oil analysis network

CALGARY — Shell Canada recently launched a program to help drivers quickly uncover issues in a truck’s engine, transmission and power steering systems.

With 18 sites across Canada, Shell’s ROTELLA Express network offers on-site oil analysis. Normally, a driver would have to wait weeks while the results were sent to a lab, but at ROTELLA Express locations the results are ready in about 10 minutes which reduces both the time and cost of sending samples to a lab, the company says.

With this information, adds Shell, the driver could save on maintenance and repair costs, reduce the chance of engine failure, and eliminate downtime.

The network is growing since the first site at Kenworth Montreal began offering on-site oil analysis service in early April.

The launch of the ROTELLA Express network in Canada demonstrates Shell’s commitment to supporting preventative maintenance practices in the transport sector,” says Les Markiewicz, general manager of Commercial Sales and Marketing. “We are providing dealers with a competitive edge by giving them access to top quality transportation products combined with world class services.”

For every oil analysis between April 1 and June 30, a customer will receive a free Shell gift and be entered into a draw for a chance to win free ROTELLA T oil changes for a year (retail value is $2,400). Full details are available at www.shell.ca/rotella.
