Shell looking for 2007 SuperRigs

SACRAMENTO, Cal. — Shell has announced the details for its 24th annual Shell ROTELLA SuperRigs truck beauty contest.

The event will take place June 22-24 at the Sacramento 49er Travel Plaza. Truckers from across Canada and the U.S. will have a chance to compete, with 12 winners to be featured in the company’s annual Shell ROTELLA SuperRigs calendar. There is also US$10,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs.

Trucks will be judged by industry professionals working for major trucking publications and broadcast companies. The entries will be scored based on: exterior appearance; design; detail/finish; originality; and workmanship.

There will be a total of 18 awards doled out at the event.

“Shell Lubricants sees the Shell ROTELLA SuperRigs truck beauty contest as a fun way to say thank you to all our loyal Shell ROTELLA T customers in the trucking community,” said Scott Harvey, B2B US indirect marketing manager, Shell Lubricants. “We are proud to continue the tradition of hosting this beloved industry event that has been held for nearly a quarter of a century.”

There is no cost to enter the event and all participants will receive a gift package. Entrants can register on-site upon arrival and enter the judging line at their convenience.
