Shell names winner of SuperRigs beauty contest

OAK GROVE, Mo. — Minnesota trucker Brad Caton’s 2007 Peterbilt was selected as the winner of this year’s prestigious Shell Rotella SuperRigs competition held here last week.

 

He takes home US$10,000 and has earned a place in Shell’s SuperRigs calendar. A total of US$25,000 was awarded during the three-day truck beauty contest. Eleven other truckers who took part in the event also won a spot in the 2010 SuperRigs calendar.

 

Two Canadians were among this year’s winners. Larry Dyck of Winnipeg placed second in the tractor division, with his 2007 Peterbilt 379.

 

And Barry Kasdorf, also of Winnipeg, placed fourth in the tractor division with his 2008 Peterbilt 389.
