Shell Super Rigs competition to be hosted in Missouri

JOPLIN, Mo. — Shell will host its 25th annual Shell Rotella SuperRigs calendar competition here June 21-23.

The competition features more than $25,000 in prizes and will be bigger than ever this year, organizers have announced. It is being hosted at the Joplin Petro Stopping Center on Rt. I-44, exit 4.

The show features a free concert by American Idol contestant Carmen Rasmussen on June 22 at 7 p.m. Also, the #29 Shell Pennzoil NASCAR show car will be on display along with a racing simulator which allows participants to compete for prizes. Also on display will be Mike Ryans Pikes Peak Hill Climb truck.

Organizers say truckers who have their motor oil changed with Shell Rotella T at the event will receive a discount and qualify for a draw for a big screen TV. For more information about the competition, visit www.rotella.com. Winners will have their trucks featured in the popular calendar.
