LEXINGTON, Va. — If you’re passing through Virginia over the next few days, you may want to visit the LEE HI Travel Plaza in Lexington to experience the Shell Rotella SuperRigs competition.

The show’in’shine features some of the best owner/operator trucks in the US and Canada, each vying for a coveted spot in the Shell Rotella SuperRigs calendar. There are also prizes valued at about $25,000 up for grabs.

“The Shell Rotella SuperRigs event is one of the most anticipated events of the year for truckers, and it allows us to honour drivers and provide them the ability to showcase their amazing trucks each year,” said Mark Reed, global brand manager, Shell Rotella.

The three-day competition includes activities such as a daily carnival, hot air balloon rides and a trucker’s drive-in movie night featuring Smokey and the Bandit. There are also free nightly concerts and a parade will be held Friday night, showcasing some of the competition’s entrants, capped off by a big right light contest.

You can even enter your rig into the truck beauty contest at no cost and receive free gifts from Shell.
