VANCOUVER, B.C. — SPI International Transportation of Murietta, Calif. has reached agreement with Tailwind Management Systems Inc. of Vancouver, BC. to distribute the Express version of it’s Trucking Management System software to carriers who join SPI’s freight brokerage agency program.

Steve Rubin, director of sales and marketing indicated that many of their regional carrier partners are seeking ways to develop alternate revenue streams.

“To create a win-win for our carrier partners and SPI, we will supply new members with a credit towards a one-user license of Tailwind’s Carrier Express version dispatch software for their trucking operations. We looked at many systems and believe Tailwind’s to be one of the best choices out there for trucking operations," said Rubin.

Rubin also said that carriers in today’s market place are looking for ways to avoid the outlay of large capital expenditures for management software.

"SPI believes this program will be beneficial to carriers in assisting them to grow their trucking operations as well as manage freight over-capacity by directing excess traffic to their brokerage department through SPI,” Rubin added.
