Spice up your weekend at cultural truck show

BRAMPTON, Ont. — This coming Saturday or Sunday, if you’re on the 401 near Toronto, head north on 410, west on Derry, north on Kennedy, and stop at the Powerade Centre. Particularly if you like great food with your trucks.

The Powerade Centre will be the scene of the first ever Road Today Truck Show, a unique industry effort designed to link various cultural groups within the community to manufacturers, suppliers and everybody else in trucking.

The prime mover behind the show is Road Today, a magazine specifically tailored toward the South Asian segment of the trucking business. Hence the promise of great food.

The event will also feature an indoor and outdoor trade show, show’n’shine competition, job fair, educational seminars, family entertainment, loads of ethnic food and more.

Newcom Business Media, which produces this website as well as its sister magazines Today’s Trucking, highwaySTAR, Transport Routier and Truck&Trailer, is one of the sponsors of the event.

Other sponsors include SelecTrucks of Canada, Arrow Truck Sales, Western Toronto International, Diesel Truck Centre, Centerline Truck Lube, TransCore Link Logistics, Bluelake BioCleans, Moonstone Transport to name a few.

Entrance is free and interested visitors can pre-register in advance and avoid long lineups. Log on to show website at www.roadtodaytruckshow.com for more info.
