TORONTO, Ont. — TransCore’s Canadian-based Loadlink freight-matching service showed an 8% increase in load availability in May, compared to May 2010.

Month-over-month, spot market freight availability was up 2% compared to April, the company announced. That followed a sharp drop in volumes that occurred from March to April.

Providing some historical context, TransCore indicated May 2011 load postings were the second highest monthly total in three years. Equipment postings were also up in May, reaching a new high for 2011.
