Spring road bans come early in Western Canada

WINNIPEG (March 27, 2000) — Amid an unusually warm spring, the three Prairie provinces announced gross-weight restrictions of Friday and expect to extend the road bans farther north in the coming weeks.

Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta are applying the restrictions to the southern third of the provinces effective today.
