Standard Forwarding Freight suspends operations
Standard Forwarding Freight announced it has temporarily suspended its operations following a strategic review of the business.
The East Moline, Ill.-based carrier said the decision took effect Dec. 29, 2025, and includes a reduction in workforce as the company conducts an operational assessment to determine the next steps.
In a statement, the company said the decision was made after reviewing its current circumstances and the need for an orderly evaluation of the business.
The carrier operated next-day and two-day regional freight services, with 14 terminals across five Midwestern states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. According to the FMCSA database, the company operated 307 power units and had 230 drivers.
