STIRLING, Ont. — The Stirling Truck Show has added a new event to its 2008 show line-up. The annual event, formerly know as the Eastern Ontario Big Rig Truck Show and Shine, will now feature a competition for light-duty trucks called the “Canadian Stirling Truck Show Show-off.” This new event, in association with the existing Canadian Big Rig Build-off, will feature DOT-approved street legal custom trucks.

The “show-off” will be three categories: new truck, recent customized (within last five years) and vintage. “This events is designed for diesel enthusiasts who want to ‘show off’ their stuff,” organizers said in a release.

Late last year, organizers announced the event would be changing its name to better reflect what the show is all about and also said they would be allowing US truck builders to compete in the Big Rig Build-Off competition.

The 2008 Stirling show will take place at the Stirling Fairgrounds June 13-15. For more information visit www.stirlingtruckshow.com.
