VANCOUVER, B.C. — Tailwind Management Systems has introduced an electronic manifesting system for cross-border trucking companies.

The new solution has been introduced in preparation for the implementation of the ACE E-manifesting program which will soon become mandatory, the company says. Tailwind partnered with Oceanwide to develop the E-manifest solution.

Tailwind’s Carrier Management System will be able to link with Oceanwide’s proven E-manifest technology enabling Tailwind clients to quickly be approved for entry to the U.S., the company explains. Customers will simply have to enter data into Tailwind’s user-friendly Carrier Management System. Oceanside’s software then edits the manifest data and automatically transmits it to U.S. Customs.

Keith Retallack, business manager with Tailwind Management Systems, said, “We feel truckers will begin to embrace E-manifest once they understand that E-manifest will reduce paperwork and costly delays at the border awaiting customs clearance.”
