GRAND BEND, Ont. – Team Truck Centres has become the official Truck ‘Show and Shine’ sponsor of the third annual Earl Hardy Trucking Big Rig Nationals at Grand Bend Motorplex. Officials say Team Truck Centres will bring a significant increase in show classes and awards to the Sept. 11 event.

“At last year’s Earl Hardy Big Rig Nationals it was really obvious that the quality of the trucks attending the event had gone beyond the classes that were being judged,” said Grand Bend Motorplex GM, Ron Biekx. “We could easily have given out twice the number of awards without losing any legitimacy and Earl Hardy agreed that we needed to step our Show and Shine program up to the next level. Team Truck Centres has allowed us to do that this year.”

“We make our living with Ontario’s drivers and supporting this event is an opportunity for us to give something back, so it made sense to us right away,” said Tim Ryan of Team Truck Centres. “We agreed to get behind the event as soon as Ron (Biekx) approached us with the idea. These people aren’t just our customers, they’re our friends. We wanted to be a part of this event because it celebrates the drivers that make Ontario’s economy roll.”

The event is also supported by the Ontario Truck Driving School and the Canadian Centre for Decision Driving. Truck News is the official publication of the Earl Hardy Big Rig Nationals.
