Texas company gives dead batteries a pulse

RediPulse, a new battery charge/maintenance system from Dallas, Tex.-based PulseTech Products Corp., prevents dead batteries by keeping them in “like-new” condition all the time, the company says.

By introducing a slight trickle charge, RediPulse also prevents the normal loss of battery power on stored vehicles no matter how long they sit unused, the company says. RediPulse is small, weatherproof and easy to install. It works with all conventional flooded lead-acid batteries and sealed “maintenance-free” batteries, including VRLA, AGM and gel cell. The company says that when plugged in, it will operate 24-hours a day and won’t overcharge your battery.

It is also designed to prevent sulphation buildup on the battery plates-said to be the number one cause of battery failure. Using the company’s patented ReNew-IT Pulse Technology, RediPulse emits a pulsating dc current into the battery that enables the sulfate deposits to leave the plates and converts them to active electrolyte. This process also exposes the active material on the plates which means your batteries are stronger. When used regularly, RediPulse keeps the deposits from building up again. With the plates clean, your batteries can once again provide maximum performance, the company says.
