TIDA forms Canadian Relations Committee

NILES, Ill. — The Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA) has announced the formation of the Canadian Relations Committee. The committee has been established to foster new and better relationships with trucking companies, insurers and attorneys in Canada.

The Canadian Relations Committee is chaired by Joel Schechter, partner at Watson, Bennett, Colligan, Johnson & Schechter, LLP, Buffalo, N.Y. Committee members will include: Richard Bapst, Stanley Tessis Esq., Robert J. Kopka Esq., Douglas B. Marcello Esq., and Stephen Laskowski of the Ontario Trucking Association.

TIDA serves more than 1,000 members from the trucking industry, including in-house counsel, trucking attorneys in private practice, claims, safety, and risk management professionals at trucking and truck insurance companies, and claims servicing organizations. TIDA provides resources to its members in the handling of individual claims or cases, assists members in reducing their overall exposure and provides information regarding expert witnesses, legal theories and solutions.
