Titanium Transportation Gets New Rigs, Increasing Fleet Size

WOODBRIDGE, ON – The trucking operation Titanium Transportation Group Inc. said this week it received the first shipments of its 2016 Volvo VNL 670 model trucks and expects to take delivery of a total of 140 Volvo trucks during 2015 and in early 2016.

Titanium has also secured up to an additional 100 Volvo truck build slots for delivery in 2016.

“The new trucks will allow Titanium to continue to execute its proven organic and acquisition growth strategy,” the company said in a statement.

Titanium’s current fleet consists of 350 power units, serving both Canada and the U.S., including 30 Volvo trucks that have already been delivered in 2015.

It is expected that up to 100 of the new trucks will replace existing power units.

Additionally, a portion of the new trucks will be used to replace equipment from future acquisitions.

“The increase in the size of our fleet is a direct response to our customers needs in our core markets where access to freight capacity has become limited,” said Ted Daniel, CEO of Titanium.

Titanium provides truckload, dedicated, and cross-border trucking services, freight logistics, and warehousing and distribution to more than 800 customers, according to the company.
