BEACHWOOD, Ohio — TMW Systems, a US-based provider of enterprise management software, has acquired Maddocks Systems, one of Canadas largest providers of trucking software. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

TMW Systems officials said the acquisition will allow the company to accelerate its mission to provide the trucking industry with the highest value business solutions that improve operational efficiency, deliver superior customer service, and ensure long term profitability. The combined research and development group is three times the size of any competing enterprise management software provider serving the trucking industry, the company said.

David W. Wangler, president and CEO of TMW Systems, will lead the combined company.

This is our first acquisition since TMW was purchased by Wachovia Capital Partners and Peppertree Capital Management in 2005 and fits very well with our global strategy of expanding our business through continued organic growth as well as investing in superior businesses with complementary technology and robust business solutions, Wangler said. Maddocks is a well respected brand and will bring many additional products and services to our already well-rounded portfolio of offerings.
