TMW Systems Hires New Vice President

 

CLEVELAND, OH – Transportation solutions provider TMW Systems has appointed Rod Strata as executive vice president of operations.

He will oversee development, professional service and support for two of TMW’s key product lines and will report to TMW President David Wangler.

Wangler commented: “[Strata] began his career at the fleet level and has a deep understanding and appreciation of our mission to help customers achieve their operational objectives. [He has] uncommonly broad experience in enterprise software for the transportation and logistics markets in North America, Asia and worldwide.”

Before moving to TMW Systems, he was chief operating officer of the North American side of enterprise software provider SAP. Over his nine years at SAP, Strata was part of the company’s global transportation and logistics business growth.

Strata began his now 30-year career in the industry with Roadway Express. He later moved on to McLean Trucking and Yellow Freight System. He was vice president of transportation and logistics for i2 Technologies then, he served as transportation group president at RedPrairie.

He’s also a member of the Director’s Circle with the Transportation Intermediaries Association Board of Directors and has partnered with Georgia Institute of Technology’s Supply Chain and Logistics Institute to co-author a third-party logistics study.
