VAUGHAN, Ont. — Totalline Transport is proud to announce a sponsorship agreement with Skeleton Olympic silver medallist Jeff Pain.

During the course of four years, Totalline will support Pain in his training for the Winter Olympics in Vancouver 2010.

The skeleton racer successfully kicked off the season on Nov. 30 winning Gold in the first World cup of the season in Calgary and beginning the defence of his World Cup over-all title.

Our athletes are under-funded and need our help if we want them to succeed on the international level and represent our great country. We are very proud to be able to support Jeff Pain in his striving for success without having to worry about anything but his sport, said Uwe Petroschke, president and CEO of Totalline. The entire Totalline team is excited to accompany Jeff on his way to the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. We will cross our fingers for him at every single competition.

As the reigning World Champion, Jeff Pain is regarded as the most successful Canadian skeleton athlete.

I am very thankful for this offer of support. Beyond the money, it is so nice to have someone else besides my family believing in me and what is possible, noted Pain.

In the past, Totalline has also thrown its support behind other amateur athletes by becoming a major donor of the See You in Canadian Athletes Fund three years ago.
