Trailer Manufacturer Gets Huge Order for Christmas

SAINT-GEORGES, QC— Trailer manufacturer Manac Inc. will start the New Year with what they believe is the largest Canadian trailer order to date: one order of 700 vans from Train Trailer, who rents and leases trailers.

“700 vans, one order, one basic specification is, to the best of my knowledge, the largest Canadian trailer order ever seen by any manufacturer,” says Charles Dutil, president of Manac.

“Our ability to secure this business from Train Trailer Rentals is based on years of collaboration and mutual support. It is also a tribute to our employees’ commitment to providing a cost competitive product, the solid design of our UltraPlate model and an excellent level of service.”

Manac is a family business that started out in 1966 out of a barn. In the first year of production, they manufactured 11 trailers, most of which were for the family’s use: they needed trailers to transport the steel they manufactured and they wanted them faster than the Canadian manufacturers could build them.

Now they’re a major manufacturer in North America and make about 7,000 trailers annually.

President of Train Trailer Rentals, Rick Kloepfer comments: “We were focused on quality and performance in the purchase of these trailers. We’re certain the team at Manac will provide comprehensive, leading edge support, which is extremely important to us.”

Production of this order will begin during the first quarter of 2014 and is expected to be completed before the end of the third quarter.
