Trailer Wizards Joins Hunger Awareness Week Campaign

MISSISSAUGA, ON — Trailer Wizards Ltd. is sponsoring Food Banks Canada’s 2015 Hunger Awareness Week for the third consecutive year.

During this campaign, ‘Let’s Bring Some Focus To Hunger”, the trailer dealer and its employees will be spreading awareness of the issue of hunger across the country and the need for donations to food banks as well as supporting national programs now through Sept. 25.

“We all live very busy lives and have hectic schedules. Because of this, we can miss the opportunity to be thoughtful to those in need,” said Anne McKee, executive vice president of Trailer Wizards. “That’s exactly why Hunger Awareness Week is so important. It gives a platform to raise awareness of the issues of hunger in our communities”

Hunger Awareness Week is a movement to raise awareness about the solvable problem of hunger in Canada. Food banks across the country host events during the week to tell the story of the work they do and the stories of the hungry Canadians who use food banks.

Food Banks Canada supports a network of over 3,000 food-related organizations in every province and territory that assists close to 850,000 Canadians each month. The network shares over 200 million pounds of essential safe quality food annually, provides social programs that help to foster self-sufficiency, and advocates for policy change that will help create a Canada where no one goes hungry, according to the group.
