Training available for livestock transport trainers

OLDS, Alta. — Alberta Farm Animal Care (AFAC) is presenting a one-day workshop for individuals interested in training truckers on livestock transport protocol.

The Certified Livestock Transporter (CLT) Train-the-Trainer Workshop will be presented at Olds College on May 17. CLT is Canadas multi-species livestock transporter training program, which was developed by AFAC.

The workshop is being offered for individuals who will be offering the training program to truckers. To become certified as a CLT trainer and receive trainer materials, attendance at the workshop is mandatory.

The Train-the-Trainer workshop is designed specifically for those in the livestock transport industry who have livestock trucking experience and have the capabilities to present the program.
