Transcom offers new dispatcher/supervisor course in Alberta

EDMONTON, Alta.  — Transcom Fleet Services has announced its latest dispatcher/supervisor training course, which includes FleetSmart training, is scheduled to begin March 11 in Sherwood Park.

 

The 68 hours of training covers 40 topics, and a sample of those topics include: customer care programs; rates and pricing; telephone and e-mail etiquette; dispatching for profits; emergency response; computers and technology; Customs and border crossing; reducing emissions and fuel consumption (FleetSmart); the Canadian Privacy Act (related to lease operators and owner operators); and reducing insurance costs (WCB/WSIB/occupational health and safety).

 

The cost of the nine-day course is $2,150 per student (plus GST), which includes: lunch, a course binder, and a course certificate. The training dates are March 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 30, 31 and April 1. The course will be held at the Holiday Inn Express, 11 Portage Lane, Sherwood Park, Alta., and will run daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
