TransCore offering protects against freight fraud

PORTLAND, Ore. — TransCore has introduced Credit Patrol, a credit monitoring service designed specifically for freight brokers and carriers.

The new service alerts subscribers to any changes in their own credit record or that of their transportation business partners, the company says.

Credit Patrol enables subscribers to monitor changes to their own credit score and days-to-pay record, or to monitor any broker or carrier on TransCore’s DAT Network.

"Many of our customers tell us that this year’s volatile economy has led to an increase in bad debt," said David Schrader, TransCore’s senior vice president of Freight Services.

"Our new Credit Patrol service is one tool that helps them to be more vigilant about monitoring the credit records of their own customers and vendors."

Motor carriers or freight brokers can enroll in Credit Patrol for $39 per month.
