Transforce Acquires Transport Georges Lacaille

MONTREAL, Que. — TransForce Income Fund has inked a deal to acquire acquire all the outstanding shares of Transport Georges Lacaille Lte, a corporation that specializes in truckload activities in the provinces of Quebec and Ontario and in the U.S.

Headquartered in Carignan, Quebec, Lacaille had revenues of more than $10million in its last fiscal year.

“Lacaille Transport will reinforce our presence in the truckload sector, a key area of our business,” said Alain Bdard, President and CEO of TransForce.

The acquisition is expected to finalize on January 29, 2004.

TransForce Income Fund (www.transforce.ca), headquartered in Montreal, Que., through its divisions, operates in several business segments: less than truckload, parcel delivery, truckload, specialized truckload and logistics and warehousing services. It moves freight across North America with a focus on eastern Canada.
