Trimac Purchases Assets of Small Quebec Fleet

CALGARY, AB – Bulk trucking services provider Trimac Transportation Ltd. is increasing its operations in a target market with the purchase of assets of from one small fleet.

It has bought eight power units and 22 trailers as well as the assignment of a transportation agreement for the hauling of bulk liquid emulsions originating from a chemical plant in Quebec to various points in Canada and the United States from Transport Rollex Ltée, a division of Groupe Robert Inc., headquartered in Boucherville, QC.

Terms of the deal have not been released, but Trimac estimates annual revenues are approximately $3 million.

“The asset purchase from Rollex is consistent with our strategic objective to expand our market share in Quebec,” said Trimac’s President and Chief Operating Officer Ed Malysa.

Trimac is one of Canada’s largest providers of bulk trucking services with operations from coast to coast. The company also performs repairs, maintenance and tank-trailer cleaning services for both the Trimac fleet and for third party commercial customers, while providing third party transportation logistics services in Canada and the U.S. through its Bulk Plus Logistics operation.
