Triton Transport Purchases Davey Cartage Equipment

Chilliwack, BC and Edmonton, AB — Specialized trucking provider Triton Transport Ltd. on Tuesday announced it purchased a majority of the specialized equipment of Davey Cartage Co. Ltd., which is ceasing operations after more than 30 years due to the owner’s retirement.

The new equipment expands Triton’s ability to provide service to the infrastructure, construction and manufacturing markets, according to a news release, with its increased inventory of steering trailers and dollies that can move long and overweight loads such as bridge girders, trusses and structural steel as well as poles and pilings.

“We are very excited to have the opportunity to diversify our business service model, grow our client base and provide the utmost professional and efficient service in the industries that we serve,” said Murray Scadeng, Triton president.

Triton said the purchase of the equipment will improve its available services to new and existing customers in heavy haul trucking in western Canada.
