FALCONER, N.Y. — Truck-Lite says it has added more than 100 new full-time and 100 temporary employees at its US plants since the beginning of the year, as the manufacturer sees returning demand for LED lighting products.

It will be filling another 70-100 positions within the next few months, the company announced.

“We are seeing the effects of a recovering supply and demand process within the industry and our quality standards have also allowed us to maintain a long-term partnership with the military,” said Truck-Lite v.p. of operations, John Cecco. “Truck-Lite views 2010 as a transitional year within the heavy-duty industry, with a slow recovery. GDP and industry build rates are projected to show significant growth in 2011. Pushing forward, the company looks for continual technological breakthroughs to arm their sales team with quality products and knowledge in support of customer demand.”
