Truck World 2010 a team-driven event

TORONTO — A large number of key executives from across the trucking business have joined the 2010 Truck World Show Advisory Committee.

"The group’s focus is to present the industry with an exciting show, so visitors will feel they received real value for their time and money," says Jim Glionna, president of Newcom Business Media, which owns and produces Truck World as ell as this website and Today’s Trucking magazine.

"We can’t fail to deliver in 2010 with such a powerful group advising show management on an almost day-to-day basis."
The committee consists of senior staff from International Trucks, Canadian Kenworth, Eaton, Mack Trucks, Cummins Canada, Daimler Trucks Canada, Challenger Motor Freight, Kriska Transportation, Bison Transport, the Ontario Trucking Association, and Newcom, to name just a few.

Truck World is the largest trade show in Canada for all those involved in the transportation industry. The 2010 edition will be held at the International Centre in Toronto from April 15th to 17th.
A new exhibit area will run alongside Truck World, adding an entirely new element to this already powerful trade event.

Endorsed by the Canadian Transportation Equipment Association (CTEA), the Vocational Truck & Equipment Expo will have a dedicated section in Hall 3A and is expected to attract at least 50 major exhibitors.

"There is so much exhibitor and visitor crossover that everyone will agree this marriage makes perfect sense," says Joe Glionna, director of Newcom Shows. "No one wants a second, separate show, but it’s obvious that Canada was missing a vocational truck and equipment exposition."

Another distinctive feature of Truck World will be the Green Route feature area. The Green Route highlights products that promote fuel efficiency and reduce emissions. It will be an opportunity for fleet owners and managers to experience first-hand the products they need to operate more efficiently.

Industry members may pre-register online at www.truckworld.ca for $10 until March 31st to receive a badge in the mail. After that date and at the event, registration is $20.00.
