Mill Creek Motor Freight donates food, more than $1,500
The team at Mill Creek Motor Freight supported the Cambridge Food Bank and the Lion’s Club in Alliston through donations and volunteer efforts.
Over the past several months, employees contributed by sorting donations, giving canned goods and other items, purchasing 50/50 tickets, and making personal cash contributions. Their collective efforts resulted in several hundred pounds of food and $1,690 in donations being collected, helping those in need during the Christmas season.

“Our wonderful team has been lending a hand at the Cambridge Food Bank, helping to organize the surge of donations leading up to Christmas,” the company shared on LinkedIn. “It’s been a powerful reminder that many in our communities rely on organizations like the Food Bank — and the spirit of the season shines brightest when we give.”
PrePass appoints executive vice-president
PrePass Safety Alliance has named Erik Dietz as its new executive vice-president, bringing his experience in mobility intelligence and transportation technology to the executive team.
“Erik’s proven track record in fostering innovation, driving organizational growth, and enhancing safety through technology makes him an invaluable addition to our organization,” said Mark Doughty, president and CEO of PrePass Safety Alliance, in a news release.

Dietz previously served as president and chief operating officer of Michelin Mobility Intelligence, where he led global strategies to improve mobility solutions using connected driver data, driving significant growth, launching transformative technologies, and expanding the company’s global reach, according to the company. He also serves as a board director for the Intelligent Transportation Society of America.
In his new role, Dietz will lead corporate development and oversee strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening PrePass Safety Alliance’s services and partnerships with state transportation departments, motor carriers, and other stakeholders.
Anderson takes on COO role at Elgin Industries
Elgin Industries has named Chris Anderson as its chief operating officer (COO), adding to his current role as executive vice-president. The promotion, approved by the company’s board of directors, highlights Anderson’s contributions to the Illinois-based manufacturer of engine, steering, and suspension components.
Anderson, who joined Elgin in 2000, previously served as executive vice-president of the company’s Elgin World Trade division. In his expanded role as COO, he will oversee operations at the company’s U.S.-based engineering, manufacturing, and distribution complex.
“Chris has played an invaluable role in helping to guide and grow our company during a period of historic change in the transportation and industrial markets,” said Bill Skok, president and chief executive officer, in a release.
