Trucking HR Shuffles Board of Directors

TORONTO, ON — Jean-Marc Picard, executive director of the Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association (APTA), has joined Trucking HR Canada’s Board of Directors today. He’s replacing Bob Dolyniuk, who is retiring as executive director of the Manitoba Trucking Association.

“As one of our founding board members, Bob Dolyniuk has been a true champion of sound HR practices throughout Canada’s trucking industry. We thank him for his service – and we look forward to working alongside Jean-Marc Picard,” says Angela Splinter, CEO of Trucking HR Canada.

“Like the trucking industry as a whole, APTA’s members are not immune to the challenges of the intensifying driver shortage,” Picard said. “I look forward to exploring the underlying issues further and, through this opportunity with Trucking HR Canada, contributing to the solutions.”

Returning directors include Canadian Trucking Alliance President and CEO David Bradley, Private Motor Truck Council of Canada President Bruce Richards, and Mike Millian of Hensall District Cooperative.

In its first year alone, Trucking HR Canada launched the Top Fleets Employers program to recognize the industry’s leading workplaces; research showing how to engage youth in trucking careers; and the national Supporting Women in Freight Transportation committee to help women realize career opportunities in trucking.
