LAS VEGAS, (Mar. 15, 2005) — A driver from Cambridge, Ont.-based Challenger Motor Freight was able to crack the list of top five finalists for the Truckload Carriers Association’s 16th Annual Company Equipment Driver of the Year contest.

Robert Hagen, a Challenger driver for the last 19 years, took fourth place in the contest. Brian O’Leary, who has driven 3.5 million accident-free miles in 19 years with Western Distributing, was the grand prize winner.

The awards, based on excellent safety records, unblemished work history, and involvement in the community and industry, were handed out at the TCA’s annual convention at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
