TORONTO, Ont. — The editors of trucknews.com have joined Twitter. Editors Lou Smyrlis, James Menzies and Adam Ledlow will now be sending 140-character “tweets” letting readers know what they’re doing via the popular social networking site.

In addition to being an outlet for users to keep tabs celebrities like Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, Twitter has become a way for publications to share live news from press conferences, links to industry-specific stories and video, and even promote interactive interviews with its readers.

The addition of Twitter expands trucknews.com’s existing range of media, including blogs, message boards and its weekly WebTV program, Transportation Matters.
