EDMONTON, Alta. — Truxpo is returning to Edmonton this fall and organizers say it will be back with a bang.

This will be the first time Western Canada’s largest trucking trade show has been held in Alberta in four years. It traditionally alternates between Edmonton, Alta. and Abbotsford, B.C.

This year’s show theme is Technology and Careers. Exhibitors will be discussing the types of job opportunities available within their industry sectors. Organizers say people interested in jobs in the trucking industry should plan on attending the show.

The show kicks off Friday, Sept. 23 at 1 p.m. and runs until 9 p.m. It’s also open Saturday, Sept. 24 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost to attend the show is $5, but students and children under 15 get in for free (students must have a student card). It’s being held at Northlands Park Agricom.

In addition to technology and career-themed exhibits, industry suppliers will showcase everything from new trucks and trailers to the latest software advances. For more information, visit www.amta.ca.
