TTA offers educational luncheon

TORONTO, Ont. — The Toronto Trucking Association (TTA) is hosting an educational luncheon Mar. 11, which will outline ongoing efforts by the Canadian Trucking Human Resources Council (CTHRC).

Linda Gauthier, of the CTHRC, will be on-hand to explain several of the council’s initiatives and how they will impact fleets over the next few years.

Among the topics of discussion will be: the trucking research project including, an overview of five research projects currently underway; national occupational standards and essential skills profiles, and the benefits of using these standards within fleet operations; and online learning opportunities for dispatchers and owner/operators.

Gauthier will outline how the above topics can help increase productivity for fleets. The luncheon will take place Mar. 11 at the Airport Board of Trade at 830 Dixon Rd. at 11:30 a.m. TTA members can attend for $80.25 while non-members will be charged $101.65 including GST.
