Tuthill rides new suspension
Tuthill Transport Technologies
The new 79AR drive axle air ride suspension from Tuthill Transport Technologies offers GAWR (gross axle weight ratings) of 17,000 to 23,000 lbs. per axle.
The 79AR was designed for class 6 and 7 vocational trucks with single drive axles. Kits have been designed specifically for Kenworth, Peterbilt, Freightliner, Western Star, Mack and Sterling models, but the 79AR can also be adapted to any truck with standard-dimension frame rails.
The 79AR was spawned from an existing steel spring suspension-the ReycoGranning 79KB-and incorporates existing hangers, axle connections, torque arms, bushings and hardware. All components are
manufactured in a quality-controlled ISO 9001 environment, the company says.
The 79AR will be available for installation at dealers and aftermarket facilities in North America starting in early 2002.
