TydenTek, a joint venture between TydenBrammall and Hi-G Tek -an Israel-based high tech firm providing electronic products for both private and governmental applications-says that their new D3 DataSeal brings instant tracking and verification to a wider range of cargo sealing applications.

The D3 DataSeal has a reading range of up to 100 feet, advanced dual frequency capabilities, and enhanced programmability. The reusable seal stores event data such as the time, date, and duration of every seal opening and closing during storage or along a delivery route. Remote reading can be either short range, up to nearly 2 feet using a Hand-Held Terminal, or long range, up to 100 feet using a DataReader.

Strategically placed DataReaders allow access to shipment information even while cargo is moving at high speeds. At the same time, the D3 system allows you to sectionalize a tampering event at any point along the distribution route.

The system includes the seal, the readers and software is encoded with a customer-specific electronic code. Utilizing the latest in Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and data encryption technology, the company says the D3 cannot be replicated once applied and activated.

The company says the D3 DataSeal is ideal for situations requiring fast load verification like during customs processing. It is also appropriate for closed-loop or partial load situations such as groceries, clothing, liquor and tobacco. At the same time, the D3 DataSeal accommodates specialized sealing requirements, such as protecting crime scene evidence, jewelry, bonded courier shipments and pharmaceuticals.
