Understanding your CVOR seminar coming to Toronto

TORONTO, Ont. — The Toronto Trucking Association has announced the details of its breakfast panel discussion on understanding, managing and controlling your CVOR.

The seminar will be held on Jan. 12, 2005 at the Weston Golf and Country Club in Toronto. Registration will begin at 7:45 a.m. and a light breakfast will be provided. For members, the cost of the seminar will be $58.85 and for non-members, the cost is $101.65.

The panelists taking part in the discussion are: Gene Waithe an auditor from the Ministry of Transportation will be speaking on what the Ministry is looking for when they conduct an audit, what are the areas of concern they are seeing consistently and how to read and understand your CVOR.

Don Gillette a former MTO Enforcement Officer/Auditor trainer and Safety Rating Administrator for over 25 years who now works for Xcopper will be speaking along with his partner Mark Reynolds another former MTO Enforcement Officer for 15 years on how to prepare for your audit, what are their areas of concern they are seeing, what are the issues they are seeing before the courts and what is the outcome of the court proceedings.

The final panelist is Tim Courtney from Markel Insurance. He has served as the National Director of Underwriting of Markel Insurance Company of Canada since 2001. He will be speaking on how your CVOR affects your insurance and what you can do to show your insurance company you are trying to fix a problem.

There will be time for questions and answers during and after each panelist’s presentation.
