TORONTO, Ont. — The University of Manitoba Transport Institute has tapped TransCore Link Logistics as a partner for a research project on Canadian transportation trends.

Researchers will use TransCore’s Canadian-based Loadlink freight-matching service to evaluate industry trends, the organizations announced.

The Transport Institute will be examining Loadlink’s three million freight matches per day to identify transportation trends.

“This report will provide visibility into emerging trends that are developing or declining and enable us to share this information with our broker and carrier members,” TransCore’s Claudia Milicevic said of the project.

Paul Larson of the Transport Institute added “TransCore provides a unique visibility into the actual movement of freight in Canada and the United States and a fleet’s usage of technology.”
