US drivers recognized Aug. 26-Sept. 1
ARLINGTON, Va. — The American Trucking Associations (ATA) has announced it will celebrate professional truck drivers on the week of Aug. 26-Sept. 1.
The National Truck Driver Appreciation Week is being held one week prior to Canadas own National Trucking Week. American carriers will spend the week honouring drivers and the industry will launch a public awareness campaign to celebrate the importance of the trucking industry.
“National Truck Driver Appreciation Week is about letting our professional drivers know they are valued,” said Tim Lynch, senior vice-president of the ATA. “ATA is proud to provide a way for companies, suppliers and customers to show their appreciation to these hard working and dedicated drivers, and to let the American people know how important truck drivers are for our country.”
A full line of National Truck Driver Appreciation Week merchandise is available from ATA by visiting the associations online shop at: http://www.truckline.com/store/manufacturer.asp?mfgid=102&scat=&cat .
