Extreme Extended Life antifreeze/coolant by Zerex is now the only product that meets the Cummins CES 14603 specification in addition to the Caterpillar EC-I specification for heavy-duty applications without the need for supplemental silicate additives at first fill.

The patented new formula provides optimal protection against liner pitting and corrosion, hard-water scale and other deposits, the company said. Add one bottle of Extreme@ Extended Life Extender at the 300,000 mile (or 7000-hour mark) and you can go up to 600,000 miles (or 14,000 hours) without draining. Since it’s compatible with other brands of ethylene glycol-based coolants, it can be used for mixed fleets with gasoline engines.

It’s recommended to be used at 50 to 70% concentrations for optimum protections.

In addition to the Cummins and CAT specifications, Extended Life meets industry specifications like TMC of ATA RP-329, ASTM D6210 and D3306 for use in diesel and gasoline engines in stationary power, marine, light-duty and passenger car applications.”
