Vancouver Island weight increases take effect

VICTORIA, B.C. — The B.C. Ministry of Transportation has approved several routs on Vancouver Island for loads up to 85,000-kg.

Overload permits are now available for loads between 64,000-kg and 85,000-kg for the following routes: Highway 1 from Millstream Road (Langford) to Highway 19 Nanaimo Parkway (does not include crossing of Millstream Road underpass over Highway 1); Highway 19 Nanaimo Parkway and north to Port Hardy;
Highway 19A from Comox Valley Parkway to Highway 19 at Campbell River; Courtenay/Comox Area: Highway 19 connection to Duncan Bay Forest Main Road via Comox Valley Parkway, Cumberland and Marsden Road and Comox Valley Parkway from 19 to 19A.
