MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — BSM Technologies has completed an agreement with Vandermarel Trucking to outfit its trucks with 50 SentinelFM units, to allow for enhanced vehicle tracking, surveillance and improved fleet management.
The entire Vandermarel fleet has already been equipped with the SentinelFM units, which include Mobile Data Terminals. These displays will allow for two-way communication between the vehicle operator and the backend dispatch system.
“Andy Vandermarel, president and CEO of Vandermarel Trucking, has been in the market searching for an AVL solution that met his stringent needs and BSM won his business hands down,” stated Lynn Arcari, director of sales at BSM Technologies. “Most important of all was his requirement to mitigate the enormous rise in fuel costs over the past year, which BSM was able to clearly demonstrate.”
Based in Ontario, Vandermarel Trucking is a flatbed and van carrier that operates throughout North America. For more than 15 years, the company has provided specialized and dedicated carriage to a broad range of customers including major shippers of siding, fiberglass, lumber, stone, steel, tubing, and piping.
BSM Technologies designs, manufactures and markets a comprehensive line of AVSL (Automatic Vehicle Security and Tracking) solutions for fleet management, law enforcement and consumer vehicle protection; through its subsidiaries BSM Wireless and HGI Wireless.
