Vendor listings in the palm of your hand

CALGARY, Alta. — TruckDown Info International has created a wireless version of its Internet vendor listings, which can be sent directly to a cell phone.

The implementation of TruckDown Wireless allows a web-enabled device to be used to search the TruckDown database of 34,000 vendors, for the vendors nearest to the truck or trailer in need of service.

When a wireless device connects to www.truckdown.com the network detects the “footprint” of the device and routes it down a path optimized for wireless access and smaller viewing screens.

Since 1997 trucking professionals from across the US and Canada have been using www.truckdown.com to locate vendors. This includes heavy-duty towing companies, truck and trailer repair facilities, tire services, truck stops and many other services carriers use to keep their fleets rolling.
