Venue secured for first three NACV shows

ATLANTA, Ga. — The Georgia World Congress Center will host the inaugural North American Commercial Vehicle (NACV) Show to be held from September 27-29, 2017 – and at least two of the shows to follow.

The show is organized by Hannover Fairs USA and Newcom Media USA. The NACV Show Partnership will hold its first exhibitor advisory meeting next month in Chicago.

Larry Turner, president and CEO of Hannover Fairs USA, said the venue received “high marks” during a June site visit that included Class 8 truck manufacturers and other exhibitors. “We plan on holding the NACV Show here for at least its first three shows,” he added.

The Georgia World Congress Center is located on the Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA) campus in Atlanta, offering world-renowned event space and easy access to nearby lodging, transportation, and attractions for event attendees and exhibitors.

The debut of the NACV Show in Atlanta represents a coordinated effort between the GWCCA and the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau.

“We are excited to work with the NACV Show Partnership to host its inaugural commercial vehicle event in the heart of Atlanta on the GWCCA campus,” said Mark Zimmerman, Georgia World Congress Center’s general manager.

The Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA) now includes Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the 3.9-million-square-foot convention center, the 71,250-seat Georgia Dome, and 21- acre Centennial Olympic Park. Additionally, GWCCA manages operations of the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center. These public facilities represent the largest combined convention, sports, and entertainment destination in the world. This past year, the GWCCA hosted 555 events and welcomed more than 2.4 million visitors.
