Wabash names Giromini new CEO

LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Wabash National Corp. has named current President and COO Richard J. Giromini, to serve as president and CEO beginning Jan. 1. He succeeds Bill Greubel, 55, who will remain with the company as an executive director and chairman.

Giromini, 53, joined Wabash National in 2002 as senior vice-president and chief operating officer. In 2005, he was appointed president and chief operating officer, and was named as a member of the company’s board of directors.

“Dick has earned this position through demonstrated leadership and exceptional performance,” Greubel said. “He has been instrumental in driving value throughout our manufacturing operations; restoring profitability to the Wabash National Trailer Centers business unit; and improving company performance through key operational and sales initiatives. I feel it is time for me to step back and allow the organization to continue to grow under Dick’s direction and leadership.”

Prior to joining Wabash National, Giromini served as senior vice president of Technology and Continuous Improvement for Accuride Corp.
