Wanted: National Transportation Week award nominations
TORONTO, (Mar. 10, 2005) — the Ontario Trucking Association and other transportation groups are gathering nominations for the National Transportation Week (Ontario) Awards.
The prestigious awards — which have been presented by the Ontario Minister of Transportation for the past seven years —
recognize people from the industry for their outstanding contributions.
Categories include: Transportation Person of the Year; Transportation Program of the Year; Freight Transportation Person of the Year; Passenger Transportation Person of the Year; Award of Excellence; Award of Lifetime Achievement (30 years of service to the industry); and Award of Valor, which recognizes a candidate that has performed an act of bravery in perilous circumstances.
The nomination deadline is April 29, 2005. This year’s awards ceremony will be held on Wed., June 8, 2005 in the Toronto area.
