Warm feet for truckers too?

Driving long hours across Canada during the winter can be quite chilling on a driver’s toes.

Indus-Tool of Chicago, IL didn’t even have truckers in mind when developing the new Industrial-Size Footwarmer, but a spokesperson for the company said she couldn’t see why a smaller 14″ x 21″ version couldn’t be utilized by drivers to keep their feet warm inside the cab.

Designed originally for work areas like shipping tables, desks, toll booths, security posts, assembly lines and dispatch booths, the heated rubber mat keeps legs and feet warm. The Footwarmer is waterproof, sealed and insulated and can be plugged into any standard 110v AC outlet. The company says its heavy-duty construction prevents curling at the edges.

The larger industrial size warmer measures 16″ x 36″ and weighs about 10 pounds, while for smaller areas the company has a 14″ x 21″, six-pound version available.
